Mr Muhammad Razif currently holds the post of General Manager, Johor Port Authority, having been appointed to the post in April 2012. Prior to that he had held various senior positions in the Marine Department, Malaysia since joining it in 1984.
During his tenure at the Marine Department Malaysia, Mr Muhammad Razif had been attending numerous meetings of the IMO and was appointed as Head of Malaysia’s delegation several times. He is also instrumental in assisting to draft numerous maritime legislations in Malaysia that were in consonance with the IMO conventions adopted by the nation. He has also published a couple of articles pertaining to the Straits of Malacca.
He holds a B. Sc. (Hons) degree in Nautical Studies from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom (UK).
As General Manager of Johor Port Authority, Mr Muhammad Razif has taken several initiatives including the redevelopment of Port of Tanjung Pelepas Master Plan, preparation of Johor Port Interim Development Plan, preparation of the Port Development in Johor Blueprint, Johor Port Authority’s Green Port Policy.
